Successful restaurants need to offer fabulous food and great atmosphere.

The Nikko Hotel had the food part under control and Graham Taylor from Designtek together with Wiratman & Associates had to create the great atmosphere through their design. The final part of the journey was entrusted to GGS to complete the interior works and manufacture and supply the furniture.

There is a sense of openness as you enter the Olive Tree Restaurant. The strategically placed open kitchen featuring a wood fired pizza oven together with garden views from the dining areas and the sound of running water all combine to aloe the inside and outside to merge creating an inviting space where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of Jakarta and enjoy the experience of true piazza, alfresco dining.

Rough plaster brick finishes to columns and arches and exquisite wallpaper selections that resemble the stucco works of ancient Rome are used to enhance the Mediterranean and rustic feel. White Carrara marble complemented with marble mosaics to counters, terracotta floor tiles, the feature copper cooker hood and the use of rich deep colors for the carpets and fabrics are all important sources of the restaurant’s dreamy ambience.

The lighting plays a subtle but very significant role in providing an intimate, yet inviting space for guests to enjoy 24 hours dining or an evening drink. The choice of standing lamps with copper and alabaster shades all add to the mood an atmosphere of this 5 star restaurant.
